Inspection methods for stamped parts

There are 6 inspection methods for stamped parts:
1. Touch inspection
Wipe the surface of the outer cover with clean gauze. The inspector needs to wear touch gloves and touch the surface of the stamped part closely along the longitudinal direction of the stamped part. This inspection method depends on the experience of the inspector. If necessary, the suspicious area detected can be polished with an oil stone and verified, but this method is still an effective and quick inspection method.
2. Oil stone polishing
1> First wipe the surface of the outer cover with clean gauze, and then polish it with an oil stone (20×20×100mm or larger). Use a relatively small oil stone to polish the arc and the hard-to-reach places (for example: 8×100mm semi-circular oil stone)
2> The choice of oil stone particle size depends on the surface condition (such as roughness, galvanizing, etc.). It is recommended to use a fine-grained oil stone. The direction of oil stone polishing is basically along the longitudinal direction, and it fits the surface of the stamped part well. Some special places can also be supplemented with horizontal polishing.
3. Flexible gauze polishing
Use clean gauze to clean the surface of the outer cover. Use a flexible sand net to close to the surface of the stamping part and polish the entire surface longitudinally. Any pitting and indentation will be easily found.
4. Oiling inspection
Use clean gauze to clean the surface of the outer cover. Then use a clean brush to evenly apply oil to the entire outer surface of the stamping part in the same direction. Put the stamping part that has been oiled under strong light for inspection. It is recommended to put the stamping part upright on the body. This method can easily find tiny pitting, dents, and ripples on the stamping part.
5. Visual inspection
Visual inspection is mainly used to find abnormal appearance and macro defects of stamping parts.
6. Inspection of inspection fixture
Put the stamping part into the inspection fixture and inspect the stamping part according to the operating requirements of the inspection fixture manual.
